Dear Students………………….

Dear Students, Colleges, Friends, and Associates,

First I would like to say how much fun I have had over the last 12 months getting to know each of you and being able to assist all of you in the understanding what commercial real estate is all about. I hope I was able to change your perception and understanding of the subject matter and gave you helpful insight into just how different commercial real estate is from the residential world you are accustom too.  I feel as if each of you are like my own family and hope that in what ever fashion, it can always remain that way. Alas, it is time for me to say goodbye.

My current contract with Long and Foster REALTORS is set to expire, and for my own personal reasons, I have decided not to renew. Long and Foster is not shutting the door here and has made it perfectly clear that I am welcome to stay as long as I see fit. I am very thankful to Long and Foster for allowing me the opportunity to serve all of you over the last 12 months and for showing me some personal strength’s that I didn’t even know I had. Who would have ever thought that I would possess the skills of being a “natural” instructor, as some of you have referred to me as, certainly not I.

I have several opportunities available to me currently, in which I wish to purse. One of them is an instructor position with the National Association of REALTORS / Realtors Commercial Alliance. I will also continue to teach on the local level at several universities and county associations of REALTOR boards and will continue my work through the Maryland / Washington D.C.  CCIM chapter.  I will still be accessible to everyone should any guidance be needed. I also plan to keep my commitment to each of you through the 50/50 referral and co-brokerage agreement so that everyone can keep and grow their commercial real estate business, if you so choose.

Last, I have structured an agreement with Wilson Investment Real Estate in conjunction with CB Richard Ellis as my broker. This combination will allow everyone the absolute highest level of commercial real estate services in the world. I will be your conduit into this level of service for you and your clients.
I encourage all of you to keep marketing, trying, and educating yourself and I look forward to doing business with each of you and seeing you around at industry functions. Remember, I will be the president of the local CCIM chapter for 2009 and want all of you to join so I can stay in touch with everyone. Also, feel free to register at my website www.mdcrei.com ( it’s free ) and receive industry updates.
Again, I wish all of you well. And be careful out there, it’s dangerous.

 Be Good!
